Consequences of not securing the load correctly
During transportation of goods, acceleration, braking and lateral centrifugal force or vibration generate forces on the actual weight of the load, this can result in the load slipping which can cause accidents, injuries and severe damage to property. For example injury to the driver can occur if the load breaks through the front wall of a truck, it is also dangerous when the truck is being unloaded if the goods have slipped during transportation. Another hazard that may occur is the load falling from the vehicle causing danger to other road users.
