Technical Details

Regupol floor coverings can be laid easily and quickly so its the right material for any applications where installation time has to be kept to a minimum. The sheets are laid, cut to size and depending on what they are being used for, laid down loose or fixed with an adhesive. The base surface requires no special preparation, but should be treated in a conventional manner and be flat and solid. Regupol floor coverings require no special care, other than normal cleaning.

"Being a carpet layer for too many years, I knew marine carpet held a massive amount of water and has extra weight when wet. Along with the fact that it takes a long time to dry out, clean and can be the source of foul odours, there had to be a better answer.

A few years ago I fitted 3mm Regupol rubber floor to my Noble SuperVee. Since then I've been involved with fitting Regupol flooring to both commerical and private boats with amazing success. The 3mm Regupol comes in 1.25m wide rolls and is easily installed. It is UV stabilised and has an unbelievable slip rating when wet. I cannot recommend this type of product as an alternative to carpet enough. It's attractive, easy to clean and doesn't hold water. When fitting it to the Polycraft I ensured the rubber floor ran for 150mm up the sides of the hull, which makes cleaning much easier"
