The “Umweltwirtschaftspreis.NRW” (NRW Business and Environment Award) was presented for the first time on 15th December 2020. With REGUPOL, a company made it onto the winners podium that has been involved in research and development in the field of environmentally friendly materials since it was founded almost 70 years ago and has been responsible for many innovations over that time. The prize money will be used to fund a locally based social project.
REGUPOL has launched the School Project Sustainability which is aimed at schoolchildren in Bad Berleburg.
The purpose of this project is to teach children and teenagers about recycling, sustainability and environmental protection in a more playful manner. We are on the lookout for sustainable and ecologically friendly school project that focus on recycling. The project will begin in the new school year 2021/2022, and the winning project will be announced on 30.11.2022.
The jury will include the first chairwoman of NABU Siegen-Wittgenstein Dr. Klaudia Witte, the Mayor of Bad Berleburg Bernd Fuhrmann and REGUPOL’s head of marketing Elke Sondermann-Becker.
